Where it describes a rule or a process, it is describing what Odyssey's own help center says at the time we checked — not what we think the rule should be.

How the sourcing works

A companion project, Handbook Watch, polls Odyssey's help center hourly and keeps a dated changelog for every article. Instead of linking a guide's claims straight to support.withodyssey.com, we link to that article's tracked copy, and we record the exact text we verified a claim against. The Sources page compares that recorded text to the live article on every visit and flags anything that's moved since — so a policy change shows up as "may need a re-read" instead of silently going out of date.

What this is not

It's not legal or tax advice, and it's not a guarantee that any specific purchase will be approved — every reimbursement is reviewed individually by Odyssey. It's a starting point for understanding the process, written the way we'd explain it to another homeschool family.
